This is a repository of the research reports, policy documents, presentations, issue papers, and other relevant publications focusing on the area of women and gender studies.

This submission focuses on the Philippines’ compliance under international human rights law on the promotion, protection and fulfillment of rights particularly in the Internet, and observes the following areas of concern: Freedom of expression, Online gender-based violence; and Privacy and data protection.
The previous UPR made no mention of the right to privacy, nor of any privacy related violations in the country. However, privacy issues, including State surveillance and data breaches have become more prominent since the last UPR.
This report jointly submitted with the Association for Progressive Communications (APC), Access Now , and the Women’s Legal and Human Rights Bureau (WLB).
